Guys and swimming caps?
Up until last year our school was an all girls private school and they have these rules that don't make as much sense now guys have started going to school there. One of these is that for swimming classes in the school pool we have to wear a swimming cap which is purchased through the school (so everyone wears the same cap) which is yellow by the way. All our hair has to be under the cap (i.e. none showing) and because the caps have chin straps we have to tie those too, can't leave them loose.
I got my first swimming class this week and I don't see the point of wearing the cap to be honest, plus I think it's a bit gay. I know pro swimmers wear them, but I don't think I am so worried about going faster. So what's the point do you think? Plus how do you get short hair to get into the cap anyway?

The only reason i can see why they would make you wear one is to keep their pool cleaner. Wearing a cap prevents hair from getting in the pool. If you go to a public pool in the summer, you will notice lots of hairballs at the bottom. The cap is probably preventing it. A school wouldn't buy swim caps to make their students swim faster for a lesson. And to put short hair in a cap, you put both hands in the cap, like you are praying. Pull in opposite direction and place the cap over your head. Then just scrunch up the rest of your hair if it sticks out. Good luck in school bud.
