Say I want to find the perfect eyepiece?
Like I asked before..Im looking for an eyepiece that will complement both my dobs.
I have both 6" 750mm and a 10"1200mm dobs.And am looking for an eyepiece that will sooth them both of the eyepieces I have now my 17mm stratus with a x2 barlow is my favorite.The only other eyepiece that comes close to that is a 10mm plossl witch don't give me the Relief or field of view I'm looking for.I'm thinking of a nagler but what mm?Would any of you go 13mm and x2 on the 6"?
Or mabe an 8mm?
I have gone as low as 5mm on my 6" in the winter with little boil
no budget,but would like to see in one before I spend $500.00,Love too look at the planets but realy wanna stt dso
The new Tele Vue Ethos series probably represents the best eyepieces ever made, but the prices are staggering. I use Tele Vue Naglers a lot, especially 22mm, 16mm, 11mm, and 9mm (I don't actually own a 9mm Nagler, but have a Meade 8.8mm Ultra Wide and have tested a 9mm Nagler).
Attend a star party and see if you can borrow a couple of eyepieces to try in your scopes.
